The evolution of the Health-Tex tag! I’m always so fascinated by vintage tags and am always researching them to learn how to accurately date vintage Health-Tex stuff, and it’s one brand that I haven’t been able to find a solid guide for online. I decided to further research the brand and learned that it was founded in the early 1920’s and was a kids only brand! The name was meant to emphasize the fact that the clothing was made from “healthy” textiles, which makes so much sense considering the majority of Health-Tex stuff that I find is always in immaculate condition - even if it’s 50+ years old!
This is a very lose guide to dating Health-Tex stuff - I don’t have any solid facts other than the knowledge that I’ve gained throughout the years based on style of clothing, where I sourced it (sometimes directly from the original owner!) and clues from the style of tag.
